Thursday January 12, 12 - 1 PM: SUBLETTE PREVENTION COALITION
Janna Lee, Sublette Public Health Nurse Manager will give a brief presentation on Narcan. Narcan is a drug administered to reverse the effects of opioid overdose. Narcan is available to community groups. A short training on the use of Narcan is required for groups to receive a prescription for free Narcan from the Dept of Health.
Meghan Isaacson from Bridges of Sublette County will give a presentation on “A Day in the Life of Poverty in Sublette County”. Every day in Sublette County people all around us are faced with tough choices, like: “If I pay rent then I can’t pay for that car repair; If I don’t get that car repair I can’t get to work; if I can’t get to work I can’t pay that medical bill” - there’s a domino effect that comes from every decision. The Bridges organization is dedicated to bringing people together from all community sectors to generate solutions to tough issues like affordable housing, transportation, and health care for all residents.
Suicide Prevention and Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs task force co-chairs will give brief reports on work plan activity.
All are welcome to attend. Lunch provided. Please RSVP for lunch!
