November 2019 Update

Greetings from Public Health,

In prevention news this past month: The Pinedale Town Council voted 5-0  to approve a one year ban on the sale of flavored vape juice within the Pinedale town limits. This came one week after the Boulder Store voluntarily removed all flavored vape juice from its shelves. If you support these efforts to keep kids from getting hooked on nicotine, please thank the Boulder Store owners, Burke and Ruth Steele; Mayor Matt Murdock and the Pinedale Town Council;  and the County Commissioners for their extraordinary leadership on this issue and for standing up for children’s health. Sublette is the only county in Wyoming with an official county resolution to oppose the sale of flavored vape juice, and Pinedale is the only town in Wyoming with a temporary ban. And how about these amazing Sublette business owners?

For more on the past month in prevention please come to lunch on Thursday November 14.
