Thank you this month to these amazing prevention partners: Big shout out to the Boulder Roll for raising $30,000 for the Community Mental health fund at their annual Poker Run on June 11. Wow, this is a wildly generous and giving group! The Community Mental Health fund is a unique funding partnership that supports counseling services for ANYONE in Sublette County who chooses to receive services. In the past year alone the fund supported over 600 sessions for youth, families, and individuals. The fund is a partnership between The Boulder Roll, the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming, St. Andrew’s and St. Hubert’s Churches in Pinedale and Bondurant, and the Women’s Advocacy Group. Thank you to Kari DeWitt of the Hospital District for her efforts to share prevention and public health programming with all district providers. These short visits with individual providers will allow us to promote quit tobacco resources; the Sublette Community Mental Health fund resources; suicide prevention classes (QPR); share info on risks to local youth from high potency THC and how it is marketed to youth, and safe storage and disposal of all Rx meds. Thanks, Kari! Thank you to county employees from the Sheriff’s Office, Administrator’s office, and Public Health for becoming QPR Gatekeepers on June 13. To learn more about becoming a part of this vital community safety net please call Trisha. Thanks always to St. Andrew’s for hosting the 2022 coalition meetings! Have a safe and healthy July, everyone, Trisha
